Groups & Teams

Our discipleship groups take a break for summer, but will begin taking registrations again in the fall around September.

If you're looking to grow in your faith within a small, supportive community, our Frassati Young Adults Discipleship Groups are the perfect place! These groups, typically made up of 5-15 people, provide a nurturing environment for learning, sharing, and spiritual growth. We offer both men's and women's groups, as well as some mixed groups.

Each gathering includes prayer, a lesson or reading, discussion, and sharing, all led by a small group leader. The groups are open to young adults aged 21-35 in the Seattle area and run for approximately 9 months, from fall through June. Meeting locations vary and may include Blessed Sacrament, UW Newman, a member's home, or another spot.

Once matched with a group, you’ll have the chance to meet your small group leader—perhaps over coffee—to get to know each other and ensure it’s a good fit before attending your first group meeting. We encourage you to make your small group a priority for the year, as regular participation is essential for both your personal growth and the group's spiritual journey.

We gather once a month on a Friday for fun and faith. Come for all or part of the night! Connect with fellow young adults, challenge yourself on the walls, and grow in discipleship together. All are welcome.

Are you a Catholic in the Greater Seattle area interested in game development? Looking for other Catholics to team up with to create games? Frassati Catholic Young Adults will be hosting a game jam early next year!

We're looking for: 

-Game developers and programmers

-2D/3D Artists

-Sound designers

-Musicians

-Writers

-Etc.

The goal isn’t just to make games with explicitly Catholic themes, but to bring together people whose hearts are rooted in Christ and who want to explore what it means to create with Him at the center.

You’ll have the chance to team up with others who share a passion for creativity, game-making, and the pursuit of sainthood.

Come meet up with young adults for a beer and a casual board game night. We change locations: sometimes at a Pub, sometimes at Newman. Feel free to bring a board game or two to play. We will be meeting biweekly as long as there is enough interest.

Beloved is a small group for Catholics who are queer/are experiencing same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria. We are seeking freedom in Christ through our God-given identities and the teachings of the Church. We hope that Beloved is a space where you can find rest, truth, and love.

Come to read and discuss documents, letters, and encyclicals of the popes with a lively group of individuals. Don’t worry, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We usually meet Monday evenings for a couple of hours. This is not open to drop-ins; first email Fr. Marcin, who leads the event. Join us for our monthly Frassati Young Adult Small Group Rosary Gathering! We meet at 7pm in the beautiful UW Newman Chapel to come together in prayer and reflection as we pray the rosary. Come for fellowship and fun at our monthly movie night, hosted at the UW Newman Center. Join us for pizza at 6 pm, followed by watching a film around 7 pm. An assortment of movies will be provided, and those in attendance will vote to decide.

Times and days are subject to change, but usually we meet at the Blessed Sacrament Church parking lot at 6:15 pm on Mondays or Tuesdays, and run between 3-6 miles. It doesn’t matter if you’re experienced or just starting out, all paces are welcome!

We gather around once a month on Saturday mornings to clean up our local Catholic cemetery. We do some light gardening (raking, turning over flower beds, whatever they need), so wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and bring your own gloves/small hand tools if possible. Afterward, we'll spend a few minutes praying for the deceased laid to rest in the cemetery and our own loved ones. To join, contact seattlefrassati@gmail.com.
