7 Churches Pilgrimage

Join Frassati as we journey to seven churches and their altars of repose on the evening of Holy Thursday. The seven churches signify seven locations Jesus traveled to before he was finally taken to his Passion.

  1. The Lord Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

  2. Jesus is Taken to the House of Annas

  3. Jesus is Taken to the House of Caiaphas

  4. Jesus is Taken to Pontius Pilate

  5. Jesus is Taken Before Herod

  6. Jesus is Return to Pilate

  7. Jesus is Taken to His Passion

We will travel to the seven churches via car. Please arrange your own ride— if you do not have a car please email frassati@uwnewman.org and we will see if it is possible for you to carpool with others. We will pray before leaving the Newman Center and before entering each of the following churches. You are welcome to join us for the whole pilgrimage or a part of it.

  • 8:30 PM Depart from UW Newman Center

  • Drive ~9-12 mins

  • 8:50 PM Prayer in front of St. Catherine of Siena (814 NE 85th St, Seattle, WA 98115 ) begins

  • 9:00 PM Depart from St. Catherine of Siena

  • Drive ~10-14 mins

  • 9:20 PM Prayer in front of St. Mark (18050 15th Pl NE, Shoreline, WA 98155 ) begins

  • 9:30 Depart from St. Mark

  • Drive ~7-10 mins

  • 9:50 PM Prayer in front of St. Luke (322 N 175th St, Shoreline, WA 98133) begins

  • 10:00 PM Depart from St. Luke

  • Drive ~8 mins

  • 10:15 PM Prayer in front of Christ the King (405 N 117th St, Seattle, WA 98133) begins

  • 10:25 PM Depart from Christ the King

  • Drive ~14-18 mins

  • 10:45 PM Prayer in front of St. James Cathedral (804 9th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104) begins

    • Meet in front of golden door, near the corner of Marion St. and Terry Ave.

  • 11:00 PM Depart from St. James Cathedral

  • Drive ~7-10 mins

  • 11:15 PM Prayer in the large parking lot of Blessed Sacrament

  • 11:30 PM Recitation of the Last Discourse begins

  • Midnight - Blessed Sacrament closes
